I do not know where to start. This objective is an excellent image quality and great color and contrast. And for the price (which appears above), it is more than 5-star ratings. First, I have this goal and low light sports photography (as this objective is known for one of the goals with his brother by 50 mm f/1.4), but I also discovered this objective is also ideal for portraits and other objectives (macro, etc.). It is definitely a very versatile.
As far as I would like to encourage all the world to buy this objective in the near future I would like to quote some of the names that you can see (I think it is useful to decide before buying this goal):
First, a first target, move your feet in your image. If you serve zoom, do not underestimate this limitation. I think it takes a while to get used to, and sometimes I find the people who try to ask me why I go back. The good news is that most of the time, they do not believe that I am strange, but they are in fact asking whether I am a professional photographer.
Second, zoom range of 50 mm, which is normal and the target is a large portrait of the target. but on a reflex (which I will assume that most of you with our days), this goal will be a 75mm is equivalent to the boundary with a short TV target. I have as the equivalent of 75 mm, though I often referred back to move if the photo of a group of people.
Thirdly, in some cases, the autofocus is not able to concentrate (this is for many other lenses too). It is difficult for the autofocus to lock when a wall is a color (usually black or white) or in an open sky (day or night). This kind of sense to me done. In such situations the AF assist light is not so, you can opt for the manual or the development to infinity, if you do not find out about the lock-Landschaft / Landscape and photography from the sky. So far I have not much problems with the autofocus.
Increases the sharpness that you stop to f/2.2 or f/2.5. I currently f/1.8 most of the time and the results are still good. Personally I prefer the settings for the opening of f/1.8 stopped down (eg, f / 2.8) and to compensate with high ISO setting, which I often grainy picture. But if your object is not moving (static), then it is better to f/2.8 or more.
If you’re wondering if you should have a lens or fast, with a VR (Vibration Reduction), here is my take: Overall, VR can be made (as it is to reduce the shaking of the device) and manufacture of best / sharper picture than a corresponding target without VR (especially if the object is static). If the object is moving (sports / action), then only the function, VR may not help, which (depending on the speed of the object is moving and how the light is much more available), and the lens is often a fast much better solution, even without the VR function, because it is faster shutter speed to freeze motion. Using tripod (and a remote control) will contribute to the need for VR. In general, I recommend a fast lens with VR (and usually it is expensive), as the VR 70-200 mm f / 2.8, but if you help them with one or the other know what you want to use the lens and then the guideline mentioned here.
If you’re wondering if you have the advantage of buying f/1.4 lens af/1.8 goal is sufficient to remember that the goal is to f/1.4, around 60% faster than f/1.8 its larger opening of the house. With this information, you can decide whether the speed for the extra cost justified. The Bokeh is nice also with the aim of f/1.4, but I think the speed is usually the most important factor to decide whether you want the most expensive f/1.4 goal.
This is a summary of the advantages and disadvantages of the Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8D Objective:
Advantages:
1. Very fast (f/1.8)
2. Strong images (especially at the stop f/2.2, f/2.5 or more).
3. Ideal for Sports / Action Photography
4. Ideal for interior and the situation in low light
5. Ideal for portraits
6. Bokeh is almost as good, that many prefer Nikon telephoto lens
7. Fast auto focus
8. Good for the wedding photography (or no-flash event). Nevertheless, it is your main objective is that the version 50mm f / 1.4 or 28-70mm f/2.8 lens)
9. 75mm equivalent can be considered as a short-TV (as I do, that this is equivalent to 75 mm 50 mm DSLR. If you need more zoom, you can use Nikon 85mm f / 1 / 8 or 70-200mm f/2.8 VR)
10. Economy
Disadvantages:
1. His first goal, you must adjust your feet / composer
2. Autofocus issue on some situations (see details above)
3. Plasticy build
4. The autofocus is not the quietest but very reasonable
5. 75 mm equivalent to 1.5 times the multiplier DSLR (many people find it strange to make a series of target normal. I like it actually)
6. The autofocus does not work with the D40, D40x and D60. The new 50mm f/1.4G AF-S lenses with the autofocus camera.
Bottom line: This goal is so versatile (and cheap), I think that everyone should possess, in which they have the glasses. An objective, very fast, it allows me to do with taking pictures in low light (sport / action photography) that I will not be able to do so. To the knowledge of the restriction, I predict that 99% of you who decide this goal this goal is very helpful. And if you decide that you do not like it (I think it is not more than 1%), I am sure that there are many people who do not mind where you buy (with a reduction in price).
Again, I recommend all to this goal. In some ways I can say that this goal of mine a better photographer. You can buy it online in Amazon.
Happy photographing!
